In the heart of Al-Khalil, the Fakhoury family bravely maintains their traditional craft amidst challenges posed by nearby soldiers and settlers. Similarly, the Karakashian studio in Jerusalem continues a family legacy of ceramic art since 1922. In the village of Nisf Jubeil, the Ceramic Laboratory revives ancient pottery techniques, while Atfaluna Crafts in Gaza empowers hearing-impaired artisans, employing over 50 people in transformative ceramic workshops. Together, these initiatives embody the resilience and rich cultural heritage of Palestinian artisans, preserving traditional crafts against all odds.
